I’ve been referring to this site as my digital garden. I like the concept, but as my wife and I (mostly she) do a lot of work in our actual soil-and-plants garden, it was confusing people. “Blog” isn’t accurate, and neither is “social media post.” What to do? Back in the ancient history of print journalism, I used to be a columnist and when I told people they could find something “in my column” or that “I’m working on my column right now” they seemed to understand without further explanation. So I’m going to try calling this my column henceforth, and see how that works out.
